Clay can you explain how you fixed the Falcon motor mount plate? I haven't seen any problem in mine yet but I would rather fix it before rather than afterward.

I used hollow 1/4 carbon fiber rod. I drilled a 3/8 hole thru the rear of the mount into the last two formers. Insert the rods (let them stick out past the end and cut them off later)

Then I mixed up cabosil and resin, till it was like icing. I put that into a pastery bag and put it everwhere on the rods (sanded the rods, inside of fuse and cleaned with acetone). I used a acid brush on a stick to make sure that it was all around the rods in the back.

Since this one was broken. I put a layer glass on joints on the out side.

Hope this helps.

Clay

In my small 90mm one I just surfboarded the motor deck. since the glass is already there for encasement, I just filled it with expanding foam. Now its bulletproof.

Maybe a combination of foam and carbonfibre rods with the rods incased in foam....should work. The fiberglass would have support to keep it from cracking and finally coming loose.

Finished up last night and hope to maiden tomorrow if the weather permits. Don't know yet if it will fit in the truck in one piece! Managed to hide the wiring under the nacalle through the angled fillets. I just have to add a few more screws to the 3,6,9 o'clock positions for more strength, but even with only four installed the plane can be picked up and manhandled by the nacalle. COOL.

That looks really good John...........I will take one.

Just ordered my nacelle from XPS today....they don't have the motors and fans from what I can glean from the XPS site....figured I better go ahead and purchase the nacelle while they are in stock. Cost around $150.00 with shipping.

I'm working my way up. This one has an old Dynamax KB82 fan I cut down and uses a Scorpiom 560kv. I have a 630kv I can put in to try next. Trying to do all this as much as possible from parts on hand. The nacalle looks natural in this install--- and it's cheap!!
