covering film
I would like to replace the covering film on my GrimReaper. What is exactly the covering film used for this (thickness and melt temperature?) I saw a site where they sell laminate films Here is the link. Do you think the 1,2mil is better than the 1,5mil for this purpose?

Hey Lee, what do you think about this one I've found in canada. It's 3 mil, UV resistant, gloss and supposed to have a lower melting temperature and a better bonding properties. It's wider though compared of what I recieved in you kit (38" vs 18 "). If not, there is another option. But they don't mention it's UV resistant . Have you ever had problem with laminate that were not UV resistant? They are probably all UV resistant at some point anyway.
Option #1 : Digikote uvx wide format roll laminating film gloss 3″ core 3 mil Gloss UVX 38” x 500’ Option #2: Low melt mr roll laminating film gloss 1″ core Recommended for most applications, offset print, copies and inkjet prints 18″ x 250′ Regards, |

We had a flyer drop his transmitter while launching his Reaper with the throttle wide open. The plane climbed into a nose up position and did a slow vertical roll giving him just enough time to pick up the radio and get control of the plane. It was so impossible we couldn't believe it really happened and he didn't crash.
We also have a flyer with an ESC that has a brake on it and he has it set even though he doesn't have a folding prop. I would suggest that you deactivate the brake unless you have a folding prop. The ESC will use battery power when you are gliding to keep the prop from turning. |

I just got my motors from
http://www.rctimer.com/index.php?gOo...5&productname= They look like they are good quality but they don't come with any hardware or nose cones or motor mounts. Luckily they fit on our motor mount and I like the prop savers on pusher props. Lee |

"The laminate would work. It doesn't fold well in two directions at the same time without damage. "
What do you mean by doesn't fold well in two directions without damage? Is this or is this not the same stuff I had in my reaper kit? By the laminate would work you mean both options will work? Regards, |
