Wait a minute... After all you have done for all of us with these wonderful planes? Can't we get someone out there in Utah to build this man one of his own wings?

I wonder if the cast is made out of EPP and fibreglass struts? If so, you're good for combat!
Lee, the bright side of this is that you can now ask others to launch your Reaper for you.
Get better soon!

Me and Scott got a 1 hour and 12 min flight with Lee's new Reaper XL... Ground Station recording to follow later today when I get back home from flying... Should have a bunch of fun Air to Air GoPro video as well...

Was this with the semi-symetrical airfoil or the flat bottom?

Mark, I have a feeling that he is rather particular about how HIS wings are built.! lol

1 hour and 12 minutes,??? wow that is cool, please feel free to edit.!

Was this a full fpv set up? Need details, that sounds cool.

72 minute FPV Flight Jan-2-2012

They did 2 flights one with GoPro got 53 minutes without the GoPro did 72 minutes with identical set ups and 2X 5300 3S lipos with speeds from 25 to 40 for efficiency but with top speed capability of over 80 MPH. This shows that my complaint that the GoPro is not aerodynamic is for real when performance of a big plane like this improves 35% when the camera is taken off the plane.

Scott and Mike were flying with the plane that is now available on the homepage of our website. Scott who has had other FPV wings can tell you how this wing compares in stability and flyability . We are real pleased.

For those of you testing the two airfoils these flights were done on the flatter bottom of the two airfoil designs and is the plane we have listed on the website.

This video is not of the flight but of the activity on the ground. Scott and Mike have a lot of video to edit and post. Sorry about the video quality. I shot it with a regular cheap digital camera.

FPV 72 minute flight by Scott and Mike (2 min 44 sec)

RC = FUN
Looks really nice!

What size winglets are those? They look a lot different than the ones with the original grim reaper.

The clear looks a lot better too!

They're probably 10x5 they are huge, but bigger is better.

So the gopro is pretty much a brick wall on these planes. With gopro it takes 10 amps to hold level flight. Without gopro I can do it with 7 amps. We are working on incorporating something into the blunt that Lee provides with the kits.

Lee, it looks like these are without the 6" extension, right? I assume it is a part that goes in the middle to keep radio gear. What are your thoughts on the usefulness of the extension? Do you perhaps have photos of the extension with radio installation?
