Lots. I have a small but quite heavy EDF and these sorts of planes just charge through wind, not worried by it at all. I was flying it in 15-20mph winds the other day, no problems. In fact launching and landing are almost easier!

Not even a remote chance on retracts for this one. It's tiny and already has a high enough wing loading. It handles well, though.

I wonder why it weighs so much more than the E-Flite BAe Hawk? Same size, same powertrain, yet around 20% more weight.

However, the wing area is bigger so I'm not saying the wing loading is necessarily higher, I'm just wondering how the extra weight got there. Thicker glass fibre? More ply bracing? More carbon in the wings?

Actually, maybe it could be due largely to the Hawk weight including a 3S lipo and the Sabre weight including a 4S lipo.

Certainly a wonderful looking plane, I'm too tempted...

The video looked pretty good. This might be my first E-flight airframe. Looked great flying and the only dig on it would be no dihedral as the full scale had enough dihedral to make the wings look like it did not have any anhedral.

You're right, it's flying really great in the video. That is one experienced pilot, it would look wobblier in my hands!

The sweep adds to the stability of the aircraft same as dihedral so it will still fly stable. The dihedral on the F86 is minor and only has enough to keep the top of the wing from root to tip flat across the top taper so there is not much.

Carl, we never go live with a product after it hits our warehouses, always before. At this point you can place a pre-order. Expect the F-86 toward the end of April or the beginning of May.

Downloaded the manual, movie and required parts. Some have complained about fixed gear but I fly from a grass field that eats retracts in very short order. This plane has the same esc/motor/lipo combo as my Habu. Hopefully it will scramble up out of the grass as easily as the Habu.

Hi,

Gonna wait on this one. I had a Hawk and found it too heavily loaded to be enjoyable for me. I am going to wait to see what the guys who had Hawks have to say about the F-86 in comparison once they come out.

not to mention its the first small sabre that accualy looks right....glass fuse....balsa.....same price as alfa...horizon support.....the choice is clear! now.....what can i sell.....
