I will be interested to learn more as well...

...but in the mean time, the Starmax/Blitzworks F-14 with functional swing-wings looks great.

It looks pretty good. The only possible draw back I can think of is Art Tech is not one to release kit versions of their planes. So you will have to buy one with at least motors and speed controllers. They list two 20amp ESCs and a 3S battery.

There is a video on their website although it took forever to download and looks to be taken with a cell phone.

Another drawback , no retracts, unlike starmax's ... though that one is a dog too, horribly underpowered with included power system... this one looks underpowered also, look at the weight versus thrust...

ArtTech planes, although generally underpowered, (and what RTF jet isn't) are usually very nice flying models. They seem to put a lot of effort into the design of their models considering the price bracket they aim for. Once you get the power issued sorted they are sweet flyers. This may be the first good F-14. I'll wait and see.

Has anyone heard anything new about this plane? Would like to purchase and am not sure where it is available yet. Also not sure about the cost yet either.

This is very interesting. I just stumbled upon this jet while trying to research the new 70mm Starmax F-14. The Art-tech F-14 appears to have ailerons.

I can't find for sale anywhere yet. I'm also a big fan of this paint scheme!

I decided to ask Art-Tech directly what the situation is. The short answer is that the F-14 hasn't been released just yet and no distributors have been named at this time. The exact email is below:

Thank you for your interest!
F-14 is the future star product from Art-tech RC family. As we invest lots of resource on it.
Now it is still under trial production, which is the last process before it release to the market.
Could you please hold your patience and wait for several weeks?
And we will let you know our distributor in your country. Later you can find it there.
Thank you for your precious attention.

Best regards

If this plane had retracts I would buy it in a heartbeat. I have been waiting for a receiver ready F14 that works fine out of the box. The starmax one has way to many issues to even think about purchasing it. It sounds like more of a pain than anything else, especially at it's price point.

Very true. I want to do that, but I am still new to all the electric components in RC. I haven't built my own planes yet, or pieced together my own set-up. That is my next step though for sure. I just started soldering, and am learning as much about the components as possible, so I can perform a successful build.

But for the kit's i wasnt so sure on but i think my next plane will be a kit once im more familliar with all the electronics and stuff. But i love the f14 it's such a sexy plane.

I agree, the F14 is by far my favorite jet, and it was always bring back good memories. I wanted to fly that airplane when I was younger, but that flew out the window (no pun intended) when it retired in the early 2000's. That was one heck of a sad day. This aircraft had the most unbelievable looking design. Art at its finest.
