Poles or Magnets? most mid-size turnigy motors have 14 MAGNETS so 7 POLES. not sure which your supposed to use with the rpm sensor but on my kv tester it uses Poles so for most turnigy motors I set it to 7.

About Apple Being Expert Marketers...

Here's the latest headlines from a major new site:

The iWait is Over

Apple ends speculation and unveils latest iPad — the iPad 3.

I thought no one was waiting on or speculating about Apple releases.

Seems that Apple isn't as some have described.

Sorry for the side-track... returning to regularly scheduled programming, er... thread.

Nope, although I am "bewildered and frustrated" with certain other things!

Someone said that no one speculates about Apple? That seems like an odd claim to make.

I count on support for new sensors since it makes sense to support something that results in new sales, i.e., the sensors. Adding other fundamentally new and widely useful features only makes sense if you really say that is what you will do. The way I see it I wasn't promised anything and my radio still have the same features as it had 1.5 years ago. Nothing has been added that would have helped me in my decision to buy. But that is just my view.

Did someone mention a list of receivers and their functions? I'm looking for the lowest cost receiver that has Pre set failsafe. Any ideas?

Just ran across a DX8 lithium ion (not lipo) pack from Fromeco. Naturally it includes the following warning: This battery Pack Can NOT be charged with the Stock Spektrum charger that comes with the Radio. A charger designed for Lithium Ion or Lithium Polymer must be used.

My comments specifically differentiated between software and hardware, in that Apple's modus operandi appears to be exactly opposite from Spektrum's.

Nice but its still over-priced IMO. Its just a 2s 2600 lipo. I dont pay that much for 4s 2650's. I dont get it.... Just saying.

Agreed. I wasn't endorsing it by any means. Just ran across it today and thought it was interesting. It's a L-ion, not a Lipo, BTW. I'm perfectly happy with my Eneloop nimh pack.

Just here for the pie.

Servo chatter is bad, m'kay...

I have an issue that despite numerous stick calibrations isn't going away...

The rudder channel constantly flickers by +/-1% (viewed on the monitor screen). This causes the rudder on all 4 of my planes with any receiver to 'chatter'.

It's happened since I received the radio, but it wasn't an annoyance until I put a FY-30A (inertial stablizer) in one of my planes. It accentuates the chatter, because the stablizer sees the need to compensate for the rudder movement.

Any ideas what the issue is with the radio? Any ideas for a fix?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Cheers!
Randall
