DX8 Specification Details..

For people who haven't seen this..here's a detailed DX8 spec list from the UK Spectrum site..but appears to be universal.

http://www.horizonhobby.co.uk/aeroon...8_features.pdf

PS - ..and yes, the DX8 does run off and can be charged via wall outlet either with NiMH or Lipo batteries for very long run times.

"Smart Charge™ Global Charging System
Spektrum was the first to make frequency conflicts and interference a thing of the past. With the DX8’s new Smart Charge global charging system, Spektrum is first to make charging hassles a thing of the past, too.

This ingenious on-board charging system can be powered by any 12V power supply with a standard 4mm plug. That includes 12V power supplies from other radio manufacturers AND those that come with many household electronics. Smart Charge even detects the chemistry of the transmitter batteries you’re using (LiPo or Ni-MH) and automatically adjusts the charge current, rate and cutoff.

With the transmitter power turned off, plug the included charger into a wall outlet. Then plug the male charge plug into the charge jack. The blue LED on the front of the transmitter should illuminate. The charger charges at a rate of 200mA and a fully discharged battery requires a 10–12-hour charge time."

So I wonder if it will handle most glider wing requirements with those 6 programmable airplane mixes. Ive only got 3 mixes on my DX6 but could still do crow braking and 2 position aileron/flaps for a glider, so hopefully can do more with the DX8.

The DX8 does everything the DX6i or DX7 does, plus way more. If you already have it working on one of those, the DX8 will likely make it even easier.

Just found out from somewhat reliable source that the DXEU10(Dx10t) will Use same receivers we are currently using in US i was told it will come with the ar 9100 again not certain on that, and price to be around $700 Got this info From UK Hobby Shop owner thats friends with my Niece who lives in London, but if thats the case i will def get one from UK as i think comfort of try radio is a great asset and will make you a better pilot. My flying skills improved so much when i added over the shoulder aluminum TX Tray to my dx7,my hands stopped shaking, basically made me more relaxed flyer..

Jsut noticed this interesting fact on the Spektrum site.

The DX8 has 30 model memory WITHOUT the SD card in the TX. If the SD card is in place, it has "thousands" of model memories available.

http://www.spektrumrc.com/Products/P...spx?ProdId=DX8

Click on the Spektrum data interface tab and read the second bullet.

Nice to have more than 30!

I don't particularly like the thumb wheel design. You have to be careful when you are in the Reverse screen. More than once when I had my DX6i setting up the servos powered up, I accidentally reversed the throttle. Well you know what happened. It is very easy to apply to much pressure when you are spinning the wheel. I hope they fixed that.
