If you don't want to use a telemetry module (TM1100 is for helis, btw, much smaller and lighter than TM1000) then you need to get this:

300X issue
Cheers Andy
The explains some things but doesn't explain others. Obviously got my Brownout/Hold cross connected so that explains that. Must assume that the AR7200BX in the 300X had an issue that the re-update and re-bind solved. The TM1000 supplement mentions brownouts not holds. Interpretation 3 has thrown a spanner in the works. I had grown used to the fact with my DX8 that if I turned off the DX8 and not the RX and TM100 then I would get a hold. Good way of checking telemetry signal loss settings. With my DX18 bound to my EDF Typhoon (AR8000 and TM1000) if I turn off my DX 18 I don't get a hold. Figured it was a DX18 thing. Sorry for the Spanner. Am away from home at the minute but have my DX18 and 300x with me so I'll try it on that and post results in a few minutes. Paul (AKA Veri-Gash) |

300X issue
Should change this to TM1000 issue.
Works fine with the TM1000 installed in the 300X. Turn DX 18 off, wait a sec, turn on DX 18 and 1 hold indicated. Will try the older TM1000 (lot older and as luck would have it have it with me, was gonna loan it to a mate to use) Paul (AKA Veri-Gash) |

TM1000 Curiosity
Hi Andy
Tried the older TM1000 and all ok. I have another spare one at home. Will put that in the Typhoon and try it when I get home at the week end. I'm stuck on camp in the Sgt's Mess at the minute. If it weren't for the Micro Helis I'd go bonkers down here. I should listen to my own advice sometimes. I'm always telling guys new to Spektrum that the difference between Spektrum and other systems is that now if you have a minor signal issue you know about it where as previously you wouldn't, so you can sort a little issue out before its costs you a model. I do also tell them to read the manuals from cover to cover, doh. Paul. (AKA Veri-Gash) |

Hi Andy
All controls were working and it was reporting data, I had a healthy pack voltage showing on the DX 18 screen. Reckon it'll be okay when I reconnect it. Electronics, love them to bits but sometimes I swear Skynet is in there doing its own thing. Like my TM1000's, use them in most of my electric models and one of my gas powered models, the one that's testing my fuel tank quantity indicator. It works quite well but it ain't pretty. That's all I'm saying about that for the moment. Paul (AKA Veri-Gash) |
