duralite plus Lith Ions destroying servos

Brand new Duralite Plus 950mah pack w/5.1v regulator reads correct voltage but strips Hitec servo gears every time! Does anyone have any ideas why?

This may be obvious, but you are turning on the Transmitter prior to putting power to the Receiver/ESC/Servos, right?? I am not sure how a battery would strip a servo under any circumstances.
Just a thought!

I agree - a battery pack will not strip servo gears.

Something is wrong with your horn, linkages, etc. You must have a binding control to get stripped gears.

I know this sounds crazy. The transmitter is on. I tested voltage
from the battery (8.4v) and from the regulator (5.9v unloaded).
I checked polarity. I plugged in a nicad pack and it worked fine.
I tried a larger Hitec servo, it turned to its limit and locked up!
I called Duralite and Hitec, nobody knows. Duralite: Voltage is voltage, Call Hitec... Hitec: Call Duralite, maybe regulator. I need
at least 3 new gear sets! How do regulators work? I'm thinking
about checking it on a scope at work. Nicads are too big for my
glider. Anyway, thanks for the replies. I don't think I'm smart anymore.

Mabey the regulator is putting out a noisey signal. Sending the servo to full travel, not sensing it is at the usual end of rotation, stripping the gears ???

Dosn't think it is a battery problem.

I checked regulator on a scope. It's putting out a sawtooth AC!
Maybe somebody left out a capacitor on mine or something (?).
Duralite is checking and will call me tomorrow.

Did the regulator come with the Duralite pack ?

Yes, the regulator came with the battery pack. I hope my receiver
is OK.
