Thank you. I listened to it this morning.

Gadget -

Looks good. Did not see any wobble.

Raining here so I won't get out today.

3 lipos through my Swift today with my usual mild 3D profile of loops/rolls/flips, fast forward flight and steep banked turns... no drama whatsoever while it was very breezy. Gusts were probably in the 15mph range. Awesome fbl unit this is... I wish I could afford to so equip my entire fleet. I will order (backorder I suppose) another one in another month or so.

Looking forward to experimenting with the self-leveling feature when the firmware is released.

Hi Rickn816, I'm finally getting my 720 dialed in... This is my 1st FBL setup - I'm used to running a small amount of Dual-Rates and Expo in the TX with my flybarred helis (mostly sport flying) and was wonding if I can do the same through the TX with the 720, or if I should only be adjusting the 720 settings?

Do the control rates settings (under the Cyclic tabs) in the software work similar to D/R on the TX or is there a different way to do this?

Note that I didn't want to reduce the pitch throws thru the 720 software (swash servo travel) because I would expect that that would take away from the units ability to correct for wind, etc; or is it okay to reduce these some?

Art just got back to me on a similar question and he suggested using the Control Rates to adjust sensitivity - I take that to be my D/R answer. Expo he did note was still performed in the TX, except for the tail which is in the software under the Tail tab. If you still have anything to add / suggestions for a newbie it's still appreciated.

All of the things you used to set up in the Tx you now adjust through the PC software, except expo.

I am running expo on aileron and elevator.

Isn't Art's customer service awesome?

Firmware Updates

A few owners reported that when they updated firmware, some of the settings for their gyro changed.

This is annoying, but an easy fix.

(1) Save your setup to a file on your PC.
(2) Update the firmware.
(3) Reload your settings from the file on your PC.

I do this for every piece of electronics on my helis that are updated - Castle Controllers, for example.

So, you are saying that the firmware for the auto-level has been released? I don't see it on the website..... Love my 720, been flying the stank out of it... here is a couple of (lame!) flight logs.. Trex 450 pro.

Sorry, not yet. But it should be there in a few weeks.

Enjoyed the playback files. Your vibration levels are excellent. Did you use the stock tape to mount the unit?

-or frequent flyer membership number for Al Nippon Airways...

Anyways- had a couple more flights over last weekend, went very well. Sunday was especially windy here, gusting to at least 15 knots and my 720-equipped Swift 550 handled it with ease. She was the only heli I dared fly that day.
