Jim's Antenna = LiTenna is now for sale.

My new mid loaded antenna is now available. It is great for parkflyers in that it is light weight, and won't have to hang out of the airplane. It is $7.00 with free shipping in the U.S. VERY cheap shipping elsewhere. Buy it at www.eflightproducts.com

Edit: Fixed the link!
Edit #2. Had to raise the price a bit to account for the new tuning equipment and hand tune that each Lightenna gets.

Told you I'd order when you started selling them! Just placed my order for two of them.

Incidentally, the link you posted doesn't work. The period at the end of the sentence got added to the end of the link and it's causing it to not load it correctly (Mozilla).

Here's a working link for anyone that wants to get one:

so how do these make it better? And also, can you explain how to install them in a few words? Open the case, and solder it out? How is range affected?
How does it compare to the ararr antenna and the "whip" or whatever?

Mark, THANKS! I'll get them out to you tommorow.

These make things better by being lighter than the original antenna, and much shorter while retaining most if not all of the original range. It's a much better alternative to chopping the antenna in half as some do. Installing it is very simple. You don't need to open the case of your RX. Just cut the old antenna the correct length from the case of your RX ( measured using the included tube). Solder on the Litenna and your done.

I won't comment on it's performance compared to other antennas, but you will not be dissappointed in it's performance.
It is better than the Flywire, which is what I think "whip" means.

My pleasure, Jim. I'm really looking forward to trying them out. The first one is going on my Slow Stick and the second on my Mini Speedwing. I just have to crash the MSW hard enough to justify pulling the covering off to replace the antenna now.

For the price you're selling them at, it was way too hard to resist. Definite impulse buy.

What is the length from the RX to the solder joint and then how long is the antenna?

I'll buy one if it will fit in my space.

Fliir the length from the case to the solder joint is 3''. I'm flying one of my antennas with a 1'' lead from the RX. I haven't had time to do full test on this setup yet. However it seems to be working perfectly in real life flying on my switchback.

The antenna itself is about 12'' long. It can be coiled to about 4'' with a range reduction. One of my beta testers reported that the antenna uncoild had 97% of the original full length antennas range. He coiled it up in 1/8'' coil and found that the range droped to 93% of the original range. 7% range reduction is worth the super short antenna for most of my airplanes.

When you guys get them installed, would you mind doing a review for us?

Maybe go over the install, and then results on performance?

Jim: You MAY want to consider at least putting up a pic of the antenee on that link so others not seeing this pic here, will be able to have it.

Also: Do you have any stats for it? Range, etc...?

Look forward to seeing the results so I can order a few.

Ordered one for my HiTec Feather that is a glitcher. Have to coil the stock antenna to shorten it enough for my Bleriot II. Sometimes glitches enough to cause the Pixie 7p to shut down. I'll be sure to report results.

The free shipping was the hook that I could not resist

Thanks Aldur I'll put a pic up on the website as soon as I get done shipping out all of the antennas. There have been MANY orders so it may be a while.

Here is a link to some of my Beta testers reviews:

As far as stats go, it was designed to peak at 72mhz. So won't work with other frequencies....which makes me realize that there will be no overseas sales. I'm working on different frequencies, but that takes longer as I can't just hook up one of my RX's and test the design. I have to use lab equipment. The range that my beta testers reported varied from more range than the stock antenna to a 7% less range. Range testing is a very inaccurate science. There are so many variable such as location, reflections in that location, TX antenna placement/angle/length, LiTenna direction etc. I can say this though, I've not yet ever flown out of range of one of these antennas on both my GWS RX's in parkflyers, and my Futaba Dual Conversion RX's in my large sport planes.

Tiberius, thanks for the order. I hope that the Litenna works well for you. Make sure and let me know how it does.

Ok, back to shipping.
