Too bad Dynam doesn't make the DC-6 . You could do an "Ice Pilots" replica.

Looks good !

I had a pleasant surprise when I opened the kit to find out that Dynam now includes the 3-bladed prop in the kit version of this bird & I really like the look of them.

For all you folks who have searched the world over for Decal Sets for this size DC-3 I can give you a valuable piece of advice, Callie Graphics! Callie will
see the whole decal set for $24 but if you just want the Text graphics she only charges $9 + $2 shipping. Since Dynam does a fairly nice & reasonably accurate job with the stock decal set, just scissor off the lame "Skybus" & use the nicer "Fly-Eastern Air Lines" over the windows & on the wing instead.
Callie also has a lot more DC-3 decal sets that she has from past orders also so you don't have to do Eastern Airlines.

MY DC-3 Setup:

Servos: (2) 9G Servos in the fuselage & (2) 10G servos in the wings.
Tail Wheel Mod: Yes, my tailwheel is steerable
Motors: (2) RC Timer #CF2822-14 1200KV brushless motors
Brushless ESC: (2) Hobbyking 25/30 Amp brushless ESC's
Receiver: Corona #RD620 6-Channel dual conversion receiver (72 MHZ) CH 46
Lipo Battery: Turnigy Nano-Tech 2200-3S (25-50C Discharge)

*Now all that is left is left is the maiden & the very important question "Will She Fly" ??
Nice work, I love the Eastern livery...Thanks for the pictures mrebman...

Another one hooked

Grumman, I guess I'm the spokesman for the discussion, so glad you found us! Thanks for posting those vids of a great old airplane. This bunch of guys in here has done a fine job of tweaking out this model, both in airworthiness and liveries and they are great at sharing their ideas. I'm thinking Dynam has this group to thank for brisk sales of the Skybus... They get lots of free promotion in here. It never ceases to amaze me when I see the beautiful renditions that have been done on Skybus, like lebl468 's Dakota, just recently posted. I encourage everyone to post pictures and videos of their planes, we love seeing those!

Hello again BladeHead, yes it's really one of the best forums I've seen...I have spent the last few nights reading and looking at all the excellent work that you guys have been doing here...And it looks to me that it's still Flying...more guys ordering planes...I will get one shortly and probably go with the Eastern Airlines Silver Fleet livery, my mother flew with them and I remember she gave my brother and I T-shirts from that golden era...I love it... Well I will probably check out more pictures and contact Callie for the graphics as per mrebman...OK enjoy
and Happy Flying... Thanks for starting this Super forum...
