Endoplasma flew today.

I took a 40 size ARF and strapped an endoplasma with the 2.5:1 gd600 gearbox running a 12x6 apc Eprop. My esc was the Hitec 1801, it's slated for 5-7 cells. I removed to positive lead from the receiver connector to eliminate the bec and installed the 4 cell receiver pack. I ran 10 3000's at a little over 3/4 advanced timing at under 30 amps. Flew quite fast. The hitec 1801 is an older mosfet type esc/bec and has gone down cosiderably in price, it's got a rating of 180 amps cont and 270 amps surge, works pretty good.

AMTJIM,

What did your plane weigh ready to fly?? After seeing Gwright's video's posted in the open forum I think that endoplasma motor is great.

Thanks,

I am not quite sure on the final flying weight, it's probably heavier than most, it seemed rather heavy at assembly. The aircraft was probably built fairly beefed up since it is a trainer arf and it did come with some time of thicker than monokote type covering with multiple layers of other colors. Still flew though.
