I placed my order, but the paypal page didn't open

I did get the order confirmation email, so hopefully they will hold mine until they get payment.

Might want to change that to the "censored smiley"

Click on the "email notification" thing HK has.
That will be the fastest way to find out when they are back in stock.

I plan on using the following in mine:

2218 3450kv motor
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=9257

3X HGD202 on cyclic (would have selected MG, but they are out of stock)
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=5193
HGD210 on tail
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s..._/_.07s_/_.9kg
401G gyro
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...ead_Lock_Gyro_

For ESC, either a Castle 45, or the K-force 40 if I can confirm the new firmware has a working governor

The new HK-450TT Pro uses a shaft instead of a belt to the tail. Will I feel the difference, and is it necessarly better? I haven't seen it at the CopterX Pro.

Do you think it is a better deal than CopterX 450SE ($70) and CopterX 450 Pro ($90)? (http://www.ehirobo.com/shop/index.php?cPath=334_174)

I have heard a lot about bad screws and not 100% fitting parts in HK copters, but I don't know how this Pro is. And often people upgrade the HK heads to CopterX. Anyone?

Shaft is more efficient and belt as drive but it is less tolerant to crashes so increases the cost of repairs. What I like about the HK pro is the V3 head which is stronger than pro head and just as good. My Ideal Pro will have V3 Head, pro frame (its more rigid, pain in the arse to work on but still more rigid), Belt drive.

It is not a "shaft" it is a "torque tube".
The latter presumably has advantages in being stiffer than a shaft so it will vibrate less.

A shaft could be solid.
Lots of helis had shaft drive tails, going all the way back to the Concept 30.
At high rpms the shaft can start to bend between the support bearings creating tail vibrations.

Lol, amazing how that stock vanished in a few hours. That is one seriously cheap 450 Pro...looks like nothing is exclusive anymore with the clone factories in action
