AND FOR MY NEXT TRICK....!

Man...you are knocking this one out fast! I like the way you build!

I'll be interested on your final weight after this is all done. I'm sure you'll be fine, but I'm just curiuos how much extra weight all this adds.

But keep up all the fine work. I wouldn't do it any different! Looks better than boxy!

Weight

Bare airframe weight or ready to fly weight? Just holding the fuse without the mast/head assy is very light. I think the mast/Head assy weighs more than the bare fuse.

Topgun the covering will probably weigh more than the added balsa structure. I wouldn't worry about it too much, just keep an eye on it as Jodini says.

The reason I fitted the 61 4stroke is because it was the smallest I had and I wanted to have the sound of the 4stroke
My grandfather used to say use what you have and you will never want
The kit instructions quote the weight at 54 oz
My one with the larger engine is 62oz inc 4oz fuel
The video shows the first flight after completion. It was very hot and zero wind, and this is the first autogiro flight I have had since the days I flew the Micro Mold Wallis and Kalt Robin, so I allowed it to take off rather than rush it.
Since this test flight, it has had many flights, and in a wind it will run up and take off in a few feet. It will hover and fly backwards and can land with zero ground speed.
Pre and Post flight checks have shown no signs of wear, but I will keep a close watch on it.
The sound of the 4stroke has made up for the weight penalty on mine, and I’m certain the looks of your model will make up for any extra weight.
Keep up the good work.
Joe

It's got wings. I need to make a trip to my LHS to get some 225mg servos next.

Best looking PT-25 I've ever seen! You look as though you're very close to maiden. Let me know if you need any help, not sure what your autogyro experience level is? I'm in DeRidder and will test fly for Beer!

THANKS!!

As a matter of fact I have Zero flight time on an autogyro and as a matter of fact it's been a while since I've flown fixed wing. I do have a bud that claims he's flown them before.

I just need my servos to come in for final setup

Test hops first. Thats the way to check, trim, and ballance. Some call it hang-angle!
Its difficult to trim when its 10feet up and rolling over!

She does look good. Perhaps too good to damage with a flight.
