Dumas Deep Vee 40"

I think I'm going to order this kit in a day or 2. It's 32" long, using a fan cooled cordless drill motor with 12volt battery. Any info on this model or suggestions would be welcomed. I will be logging build, thanks boaters and builders.

What kind of RPM do you get on a cordless drill motor?

Dumas Deep Vee 40"

Is it 40" or 32"? I drill motor on 12v would have some trouble pushing a 40" boat. A 32" on 14 cells would be fun!

Deep Vee 40

It's 32", Dumas has the 30, 40, and 60, measurements don't quite match model number.
RPM's are hard to tell but, I have one in my Sterling Corvette, last season I ran a 6 v. gel and it got up on plane easy, this winter I picked up a 12v. ESC and now I'm running the 12v. battery from the drill, on bench test, when I breifly hit full throttle, I back away from the boat for 2 reasons: it's screaming so loud and fast, that, and it sounds like it's ready to fly apart, decibels are my RPM meter, lol.
I'll build it strong but lightweight, I'm going for speed without Lipo cost. Video in 2 months. Thanks.

No Deep Vee

Ok, just found out the Deep Vee is no longer available, at least from my LHS. Does anybody know of a similar boat kit, I'd like to have something between a 32"-36" long. Any plans available? Thanks!
Alright, just called Dumas, they have in stock, $60.00, will need to order from them, back to cleaning off workbench!

guys, the dumas naming convention was based on the motor size appropriate for each boat hull

.20 ci for the 20
.40 ci for the 40
.60 ci for the 60
