Just how many of those people do you think are going to use their phone to get a job? Back in 1983 when I lost my job, we had to GO to the unemployment office to start getting an unemployment check. And, we had to go IN PERSON to make application for a job. Just using a phone didn't do it. But then, back then, nobody gave anybody a free phone. I guess times have changed where obama can use the free phones as a bribe for getting votes.

If you want a low paying job, you have to hoof it, just like the old days. Supermarkets and stores have little kiosks where you can apply in person, you know. Online jobs are a joke.

Lesseee... to stay on topic.

Now, to return to the topic at hand:

Guess I'm out of the loop Bob. Last cell phone I had bit the dust with about 40 bucks worth of time on it, as I rarely ever turned the thing on. Don't have one now, don't need one. Might someday, but not right now.

I'm eighteen and I dont have a working cellphone... Nor have I for 2 1/2 years. I'm not out of the loop either. It also provides me with less distractions when im out and about.

Bob, until I needed a cell for medical reasons last year I had not had one sice 1998. I liked it better without.

I have to agree. The phones are simply a ploy for votes.

I have a cell phone, one that I use for my job (that I pay out of my pocket), and, even in a job where my primary contact is my phone, I'm using less then 250 minutes a month!

Would be nice to get a phone handed to me, so that I could use the money I spend on the phone for something else... but.. I work, so I don't get those benefits. Instead, I'll keep paying my taxes so that we can continue to pay for phones, food and housing for those that are to lazy to work.
