Easy Convert a KeyChine Cam into RX Voltage

After two flights with this cam Lipo Voltage came to 0v

So.Today i took the cover off.
Cut the two wires that were connected to the lipo Cell 3.7 v
To reduse Voltage by 0.6 volts i had soldered a Simple Diode In Line of the + voltage
Soldered and a small shrink on the - connection (Pic no 1)
Then with a simple shrink tube I coverd the soldering and a Drop of Epoxy to the top of the Chip Pcb (pic no 2)

Closed the cover case (Pic no 3)
The camera Works GREAT!
Took a home video and Pics. No Problems
* The only thing is the time and date That Never worked properly here
I do not care about That

Guy, is that a simple shocky diode?

thanks guy

question: any weight save ? might save 4-5 g ?

picture seem to be from a keychain as well ?

It is a simple diode
just to reduse Voltage by 0.6 volts
As lipo is 3.6v and RX is 4.8 v
Works great

Thanks for that tip. Pretty sure I have some IN 4007 diodes tucked away.

Any simple normal diode should do the job
(Not A Zener Diode)
As voltage and curent are very low.

From looking at your photos I noticed that you might want to check your new battery lead that you added, it looks to have some corrosion around the pins. Kind of a green/blue color, that's corrosion. You could loose power to your camera at some point and wonder why.

But that's a good idea that you came up with. I'll have to use that myself when the time comes.

I use a battery for a Walkera 5G6 but I had to cut the bottom of the camera so it could stick out the case. Anyways, it works great and lasts a very long time. It doesn't add a lot of weight either.

A bit OT, but this has given me the idea to use diodes to make my lipo alarm more sensitive.
My 3S Lipo alarm sounds the alarm at 9V which is too low, by that time my Tricopter has crashed. I want it to sound at 9.6 V or even 10.2V by adding this 1N4007 diode. Possible to do it?

My 3S 2200 mah battery is connected via the balance plug to the lipo alarm.

thanks. I'm waiting for my cam to be delivered. I hear the battery is iffy, this is good. I may have more electronics questions before I do mine.

I think the first question I would have is what factors are involved in the diode? I use parkflyer EDF jets. If I wire in the simple diode, would it work on all of them? I still haven't quite learned the purpose of ESC/BEC components because I've only flown RTF planes. I'm just now starting to build kits and learn all the details.

One uses
# ESC: 30A Brushless speed controller
# Battery: 11.1V 1600mAh 15C Li-Polymer

Another uses
# ESC: 30A Brushless Speed Controller
# Battery: 11.1V 3S 1300mah 20C Lipo Battery

Another uses
# ESC: 2X Hobbywing 18amp Brushless ESC
# Battery: 1800mah 3 Cell 11.1V 15C Lithium Polymer Battery

The last is a SuperCub LP

Voltage and speed controller will supply to the RX system and ALL servos voltage in the bird
About 4.8 V Dc
So as all birds RC in the world Are as same voltage ( normal Simple Models \ systems)
Just do as i have done.It will work OK
