Hi Sean,

Just wondering if Carol had a chance to get the wings ready and if my bird was shipped?

Any update on shipping time for my order?

Order ID: 1644

I'm glad you're birds are well worth it but I do wish to test this for myself

Thanks,

Rob

no holidays here in US after 4th of July until 9/6. I think we just have to be patient, he is not answering my emails as well. May be his entire family is on vacation now before the school start shortly, who knows.

I got an email from Sean about a week ago. My minor repairs turned out to be major! I have a broken main fuse and in the process of breaking the fuse I stripped out one of the gears. I emailed Sean and had gotten a response with a question but the follow-up has not come yet. I was hoping that he would at least tell me if the gear I need is from a heli or RC car or ? I’m still waiting……My bird is grounded until I can figure it out.

Snrek,
Here is the information for the gears that I use to replace broken gears on Seans Birds.
I have had to trim the hubs slightly, but other than that they work great.

I've bought gears from Serv-O-Link as well, like Gus said some need the hub shaved down but they're equal in quality to the original gears. I've had great luck with them. Some here have also ordered gears from these guys:

Serv-O-Link has a minimum order, so you have to order quite a few gears. I don't think Servo City has a minimum though.

I think I can glue the broken piece back in and then add support braces similar to the ones that bridge the top of the bearing housings. Once I figure which gears my bird has I’ll place an order and get enough so I have spares. Thanks again to all for the info……This Hawk may just fly again!

Congratulations, Gus.

snrek, servocity doesn't have a minimum order and their gears are identical to the ones on my SH3.
