Freechip, did you scratch build the Corsair or did it come as a kit? I would have to say that flying in the wind is a lot harder.

Cheers,
Henry

It was a General Hobby 40size ARF kit. Full fiberglass fuse with wood covered main wing. It was a gas/nitro kit that I converted to electric with the Power 46 and 60A Pro esc.

In 26km winds it flew extremely well, it was my habbit of flying slow with my PKZ Corsair and the addition of the winds that ended up costing me a plane, 5s 5000mah pack as well as the Power 46 & some strip digital servo gears.

Really, I meant to do that...
That is a shame as that was a great looking Corsair. I feel bad for you as I know how bad it feels to lose a plane on a maiden flight, though mine was only an ARF. I do like Corsairs and I'll be looking forward to checking this one out...

At the end of the video you can here my brother asked me what happened BRO, I do not answer the first time as I was waiting to WAKE UP from a bad dream. But instead the nightmare actualy started when I got home to the wife who said I could not get a new one. BUT thats another story.

PS: I showed her whos the boss and bought a new Hangar9 40size ARF kit and at 58" wingspan should be pretty close to my recently deceased Corsair.

I may need to sleep in the basement for a few days when I get the kit home but IT ALL WORTH IT. lol

That's the way to show her whose boss! Keep the new plane with you when you're sleeping down in the basement so you'll have a nice reminder as to why you're down there. I know it will be worth it...

I also just checked on the other posts and saw that you got the new P-51. Welcome to the club, brother... It sure is a SWEEET plane!

Not sure if this is ment for the O.P or me but if its for me then it was a choice between the p-51 or t-34 and I decided to go with the T-34 mentor as it would be closer to what I had and could use most of my existing stuff that survived the crash. If I had chosen the P-51 which looks like a crazy plane, in order to use most of its features I would of needed to get 2 more servos for flaps and different setup for retracts.
