covering my SA Edge 540

In addition to flying, I did some work this weekend on covering my Stevens Aero Edge 540...the wing is not finished yet, but the tail surfaces are done. The wings still needs curved red trim on the top and bottom of the leading edge and black identification stripes along the bottom. The red side of the aileron is the bottom side. Then the fuselage and the cowl...then she'll be ready! Covering takes a long time; it is not perfect, but it will suffice.

You know.... When you see a 36% plane, 20 feet in front of you with the tail touching the grass, Smoke rolling out all around, giggling uncontrollably is all you can do....and keep filming. Teenage Girl or not, its hard to hold back!

Well I went out and flew my "for sale" planes today. I put the K&B 61 back on the glow edge with a 12x7 scimitar prop. I didn't spend too much time tuning it and I think I normed on something that was a little lean. I had 3 deadsticks as a result. I'll post a pic of one of them that came really close to landing in a ditch.

The twist flew great as always except it was a rough start due to the fact that my trim settings left over from the edge were not favorable. It was a wild ride for the first 15 sec or so while I wrestled with aileron and elevator.

I finally got some really good inverted flat spins on the t40. Flat as a pancake and a good 45 secods of floaty spins as she slowly lost elevation. Fun stuff...

I emailed Ben at 3dhs about my fuse on the 48" edge. Hoping for a new fuse although that might be too much to ask for due to the easiness of the repair. I told him I'd gladly accept a new fuse or some other rememdy

Giggle giggle...love watching the big planes with a skilled pilot; could watch it all day long.

Thanks for the encouragement guys.

The motor is a 380W motor:
http://www.bphobbies.com/view.asp?id...6&pid=B1858544

and the recommended battery pack is 3S2200mah. I've got a few 20C and some 30C packs ready to go...I have 5 packs that will fit in this plane!

Wingspan is 50" and all up weight is 30oz.

I don't think Nate wants to sell me his plane for 49 dollar, the price of a new fuse for my twist.
Well the boy's went flying tonight but I had doogie bussiness. I really need to either get my twist back together or some of my other planes, so I can fly out at my place.
I'm slowly switching over to gas and electric.
My Next plane very well maybe a twist 60 with a JBA 15 behind it, or a tweplica 90 with a DLE 20
