Eric, I think David was working on some long distance stuff, maybe he'll chime in here with his test results.
Well, plane go up, plane come down...film at eleven. |

Well, not quite 11 yet, but here we go.
First is a vid of Outlaw and his T150 from my trip to eastern Oregon. Very nice flying aircraft.
Now here is your basic taxi check. Tailwheel wasn't tracking quite right and required some tightening up.
After the tailwheel adjustment, we're ready for the maiden, and it was what is turning out to be a typical Plowboy maiden. Very exciting. Too exciting, in fact. But a great save by Plowboy. The Extra will live to fly another day. No idea what the radio problems were at this moment, but no further attempts will be made until it is solved. Sorry about the ground and empty sky at times, but it's kinda hard to keep track of things when they get that exciting.
No aircraft were hurt or destroyed during these vids, although there may have been some incidental damage to the tidy whiteys. |

Did you see that thing go down!! Holy smokes! No wonder you dropped the camera for a couple of seconds! That was close! It's a good thing I don't stop flying them until the last piece stops twitchin'!

To be totally honest, I'm surprised I got as much as I did. I was trying to track it, but luck played a large part, since just before it went crazy, I was just following the sound.
Later in the week (like after tomorrow) I would like to bring my DX7 up and bind it and compare the range between your radio and mine. I know you don't trust the setup with just cause, but I am curious whether or not there is a difference between the modules and native transmitters. |

Did some tests after you left. Eliminated the batteries as possible culprits (we knew they weren't the problem, but still) and used a data logger to replicate the problem. A few paces past the reccommended 30 it would get bad or missing data. It's my Futaba. I guess throwing them 25 feet is not so good on them. I want to bind your radio to my receiver ASAP and see how it works. I can get a DX7 and be flying this weekend...or sooner!

My 260 has an R617 receiver and the transmitter is a T7C. I never saw any connection probems when it was flying (I was not the pilot). Glad you have the problem identified. Now to track down the cause. Did you put an optical kill switch on there? Glad there was no real damage. |

Hey Kids
Plow,, Wow is all I can say and thats right, fly the plane until it stops completely no matter what. Glad she's okay Great job filming Bob but you have to apply the same rule when filming as when Flying, Film the plane no matter what until it stops LOL we wouldn't have wanted to miss anything that could go in a Walk of Shame video and you did a great job by the way, one never knows what they are going to do in a crisis like that and 1st priority is to help the pilot in anyway possible. even if that means grabbing the box out of his hands and slapping him upside the head for a second. Great Vids Guys and glad to see the new T_ _ _ Taholics liking their new toys also. Is it the 61FX on the T40 that someone said won't fit between the cheeks or the 91 on the T60 as the 61 definitely fits on the T40 no problem and between the cheeks. I don't know about the new blue Motor mounts but shaving them to fit the 60 still shouldn't be a problem as its really just a little that needs to go on both sides. hell as long as I vae about a 1/32 between the bolt and the edge of my mount I have never seen it break or let go unless it met the ground in a big hurry. Well we have some vids to post this week so I'll see If I can't get them up tonight or tomorrow night. Have fun everyone, things are starting to calm so hopefully I can keep caught up here. PEACE |

The 91FX fits on the stock mount. You may need some cutting for the HSN. I don't think he cares anyway since he has the 75 mounted. I will have to get my trailer setup this week and batteries charged to fly Sunday. |
