Snowy your saying that poor poor moth couldn't get off the ground. The last time I flew my moth in a blizzard, she ended up in the top of a tree for a month

New main gear mounted on the Extra now. I hope it does better. I mounted my pin flag switch. I had to mount a piece of ply on the inside for it. Not much room to mount anything. I started to think about the discussion of drilling a hole without tearing the covering, then it came to me. I just drilled the hole first.

I need to remount the main batteries now. I am moving them to move the CG back.

Looks like no flying weather for a while.

Plow, break down and buy yourself the biggest, baddest, gasser out there........take a loan for the thing even..........get so "invested" in that plane that you wouldn't dare fly it, move it, breathe near it without plenty of forethought! That way you'll always have a plane.........or buy a jet like Wayne did and just don't fly it........make a hanger queen out of it and you'll have something to talk about with guys NOT in the know! They'll think you're an ace pilot, etc.....

OK, batteries moved. Now I need to make extensions for them. It is always something. I moved them about 10". I hope it isn't too much. there are not a lot of choices of where you can mount them. It is either by the fuel tanks or back by the rudder servo. For anything else I would have to build a battery tray. I could have moved the ignition or smoke batteries but I think it needed to move quite a bit.

The Smart-Fly pin flag switch would not work today. The little tab inside was in the wrong place and the pin would not go in. I was able to fix it though.

Would anyone here be interested in a 12" balsa ugly stick that weighs 25g RTF? I am helping my friend make some kits. They are his design and fly really nice. It will take the same gear as the ultra micro foamies being sold. Build time is really quick too I believe he is wanting $59 per kit. I'll post some video links as soon as we have them available.
