agreed...I feel the same way (about glow engines)...I was talking to some guys at the field this weekend and they mentioned Mintor motors, which I've heard of before, but sort of forgotten about...really nice engines, similar in price to DLE

The reputation on Mintors is very high/excellent from the veteran gasser/3D pilots in our club, and these guys have seen all the motors and tweaked/fixed/rebuilt them all.

Yeah, I didn't go into the turbine section...I decided I did not have the "need to know" and I didn't want "the desire to spend"

Flight report:

48 edge with humungo power system... it has tons of power but...

7-31-12 doomed edge flight (1 min 5 sec)

The Tech One foamy is a lot of fun and a really nice bang for the buck. The kit version is only $40. I'd guess the whole plane was around $100 to build. I got two flights with video. The first one was kind of a warm up but still fun.

7 31 12 techone yak flight 1 (4 min 44 sec)

This last flight of the Tech One was a major hoot. Enjoy

7 31 12 techone yak flight 2 (6 min 27 sec)

Bummer Nate, but have glue, will travel.

Waldo... Does Tech ever fly? He captures more great footage then normally possible, he needs more air time.

Are we getting the Key Chain Cam footage?

There are 2 Rascal 110's in our club. One has a Surpass 1.20 and the other a 2300 Super Tiger. I've had the chance to fly the one with the 1.20 and it is a very nice relaxing flight. Does the most wonderful stall turn too.
