WOW sorry ploiwboy. No I do not fly 2.4. I like the way an ole 72 RX recovers from a brown out..
It has been a bad day for crashes. Today my buddy Jim Dumb thumbed his plane in on an approach. He told me he needed help but I'd already had my twist started up.
The ole twist was her twisted self. Boy has her flatspin changed since puting a new tail wheel on her. The flat spins are not only flat but almost climbing. It takes awhile to really flatten out .
I had another dead stick again tonight. I need to figure to OS out.
There wasn't suppose to be soccer pratcie tonight but boy they all showed up in droves.
So I never got a chance to put the Green Machine up.

That's a bummer Plow. It's always hard on your confidence level when radio bugs like that happen. Glad to hear it is fixable.

Plow, after seeing and flying Waldo's patched together planes I'm certain you'll get that bird flying again. Waldo....you really ought to post pictures of the shredded covering and monstrous holes in the wings of that stick of yours....it'll just prove that all you really need is horsepower.....screw the aerodynamics!

Kerwinalpha50 probly already saw this info posted on another thread but the brown truck came and dropped off my TME pro smoke pump to my buddy's house today. He says it looks killer and feels super solid. We are hoping it performs better than a sullivan skywriter. Thanks to kerwinalpha50 for turning me onto the TME as a good alternative to the sullivan!

Getting closer to maiden day

I took pictures of the plane before the maiden, to show the stickers to you fellas.

I didn't turn around and go home after the dog incident even though every fiber in my body was telling me to.

I didn't cut or poke myself at all during the build, and we all know they require a blood sacrifice.

Finally, I should have been working this afternoon instead of playing with toys.

You should know better, 'specially about the baptism of blood and pre maiden photo. I think I have demonstrated this to you before. Glad you decided to repair. They always fly better after a little ugly gets on them.

Thanks guys! Should I use epoxy or medium CA to glue the fuse back together? I think I can figure out a way to get her to stay flat and straight...ish.

Both.....swing by wallyworld and get a bag of popcicle sticks. I like both the long and skinny ones and the standard ones. On a bad crash I usually tackweld with CA to hold it in place or to hold alignment then glue and gusset/scab as needed with the popsticks.

Any exterior sheeting you work on, try to stay with aliphatic of some kind cause you will be unhappy sandin CA.

Don't think I can sandwich this thing with Popsicle sticks. It's a flat fuse, but there's some lite ply sheeting so maybe I can brace here and there. I will take a look at that. If I can, then I'll slap some epoxy on the center break and tack it up with braces to hold in place, I suppose I could use balsa braces to hold it while it dries and then remove them later and sand it smooth again. Gotta reglue the main wing in place too. That might be tricky.
