I suggest you check the sailplane forum.

Welcome Dalock. I see you are another one who chose to make their first post in our humble little thread, at least under that name. We are honored in any case! Just out of curiosity, what made you think we would have the answer to your question? Although everyone here is usually happy to help with just about anything. Hopefully someone here can answer it for you! If not, would you please come back and let me know what you find our? I have been on the fence about setting up this 134" Cub that I have and one of the things in the "do it" column is the idea of towing banners behind my plane for money! I just need some floats so i can do it back home around the lakefront where we have big festivals. It is campaign season after all!

Loupe

Friend hooked me up with loupe device from those video camera screen the sun makes it impossible to see. Shades it and magnifies, very sweet. This one has a soft velco boot that ties around the flip out screen, slides on and off easy to close. It also comes with a magnetic bracked to that attaches to the tripod mount for the conventional cameras.

If you will do a search of this thread for "flag tow", you will find all the posts related to my setup for my Kadet Senior. I don't want to reiterate all that for the sake of the guys here.

You can also see the results on Youtube. I am the fat guy in the gardener's hat.

Kadet Senior RC Plane towing a Texas Flag (8 min 47 sec)

Second Flight, Kadet Senior Towing Texas Flag (7 min 42 sec)

I built a tow release but I have not used it yet. Search this thread for tow release.

Flew almost 10 hours this weekend, awesome weather. One guy had a retract failure on a 120 or bigger size warbird, panic ensued, one of the club "trainers" put the working wheel up, and belly landed it in the grass without a scratch. I nosed over almost every thing I own about half the time. We need to mow the field. Plus it was still damp so it was grabbing the gear and tipping my planes, but I was not alone, so I didn't feel like such a rookie. We have an asphalt strip, I just cant ever seem to hit it straight, I always run off in the grass. Practice, practice. Took everything home in as many pieces as I brought them in, so good day for me.

Wayne I tried searching for more info. Do you think you could either post the links or give us some more detailed instructions.
You are so very good at that.
