"Death Sprial"

Took this vid yesterday. Flew to 275 feet (Winged Shadow "How High" altimeter). FMA Direct Co-Pilot turned on. Once I reached 275 feet, the only inputs I gave were rudder & throttle. (except for elevator to flare at the landing)

The Co-Pilot took care of aileron and elevator control. I need to pay my club dues so I can use the runway!

Waldo - There is a free program called Cutepdf. Just install it. It looks like a printer to Word. Print to it and it will make a PDF for you.

Awesome Kerwin.......but you're pushin air man! I'd install some "limiters" on those skis so they don't push air!

Thanks for posting flyercurt

Balsa lol thats great, Excellent vid and you don't need no stinkin runway anyway lol. I've been trying to get 10 full revolutions on my 1/4 scale DR-1 in the death spin like Ernst Kessler. I can only get 6 maybe 7 right now, then after watching the movie again I realized he did it in his sopwith not the tripe so I've been putting my tripe in grave danger, as I could barely see it when I start it its so High up. my first attempt was about 3 rolls then I realized I need to be waaaaayyyyyy up there if I'm going to get 10. lol I'd have to put FPV on it to get 10 lol thats 4 more rolls high, I wouldn't see it at all.

Thanks Wayne I'll look into it.

Finally............. Got to fly today. I was just getting warmed up to see how low I could go when the 1.25 started making that bearing noise again. I thought it cleared itself up but now I have no choice but to pull it out and fix it. Hopefully I'll get it fixed soon and get some video.

Pfft. Still a Honda engine... just a V6 instead of a 4 cylinder.

If you really want to rumble, there's really only one option boys and girls.

It rhymes with Saito and has the number 82 in it.

82 is a nice engine

still have not got to looking very closely at mine after it started to make some funny noise

people said it is the bearings

but the prop when I turn it, does not feel like bad bearings

someone else said it is the lifters or whatever ther are called?

The only thing about the 82 that i don't like it the fuel consumption

I think 2 strokes are better at consumption?

Oh, Just buy more fuel. Just don't use Heli Fuel.

I get about 15 minutes on my tt40, stock tank.

Adjust the valves.

Questionable judgement

My new engine is officially broken in. I flew 6 tanks starting out very rich and finishing at full power. The tach said I was turning over 13,000 rpm which I though was impressive with the 12x8. I can't wait to try the 13x4.

Imagine this: I have to work on nice flying days... when I'm off, it snows or the wind is at gale force...

Hope you get the "bearings" fixed...
