I setup my crow/camber/flaps in switches.. its more limited as you only have one fixed setting for each , but its way quick and intuitive to activate/deactivate.. Tought with er9X i could use alarms to alert me that im deploying the brakes or other functions |

In er9x you can quick select models by holding down one of the buttons during power up.
Not sure if Open9XOpenTx has the same feature, but since it is open source it could always be added Pat MacKenzie |

Start in take off mode, throttle stick back. Spoilers are disabled in this mode. Advance throttle, launch plane When you get to the top, turn off take launch mode throttle stick stays up. With Launch off, the other flight modes can take effect. Crow is now active so pulling the stick back slows the plane down. If you want to give power then you simply flip the launch mode stick. Only thing to remember is that when you land you have to pull the stick back before turning launch mode on again, other than that you just fly the plane. Stick forward = fast, stick back = slow in all modes. I do it this way so that all my planes are the same, powered or gliders. You really need proportional crow/spoilers for spot landings. This could be simplified by simply putting motor on a switch and disabling the crow when it is on, but I like to have it proportional as well. Pat MacKenzie |

How do you define which model's are defined for which button? So maybe it is not that bad. The button defines it ahead of time and you power off then hold buttong and power on? The only bad thing is you need to be on to see which model is for which button. Better than the alternative!! More description please. |

IIRC the SD10G you can freely assign model slots to buttons, in er9X buttons are assigned to fixed model slots. So only the first 6 model slots can be quick select. It is a matter of putting them in the order you want, and then remembering which button is which I go for plan B anyway - two transmitters with the second model turned on sitting there ready to go. Thanks for the video.. Actually very nice looking. May not speak italian, but I understood must of what was being shown. Very excited by a few of the menu items I saw.
Looks like the failsafes will be sent from the transmitter. I like this approach as it can be tricky to update a failsafe on a receiver that is buried in a plane. I'm looking forward to playing with these in a couple of days at the Toledo Show. I'll try and post up some photos and videos of the new FrSky goodies. -Wayne |
