chap1012.. yes i know, but it still is to much fun to fly..
gears and motors are ordered. so now i can check how long it survives..
the lipo i don't care much about.. it's a 220Mah but i got a batch of 400Mah's in transit..

the damage to the gears made the flying time shorter.. i lost about 2 minutes of flying time.
motors still aren't getting hot though..

damnit.. i'm hooked on these little fun copters.. i have to hold myself down not to order a second one..

Dutch, I'm afraid you are too far gone. If I were there, I could help you NOT hit that "Buy" button. The heli crack really got to you faster than ever. Faster than I have ever seen before. You need to seek out help immediately. My name is Mike and I'm a heli addict

I just ordered one of the Hobbyking spy helicopters. I threw in a 2200 3S Nanotech for the ride here on the slow boat from China.

Dutch, Please start a new thread, so that people other than those who check the S107 thread will get a chance to discover this helicopter.

I would like to see what's under the canopy. Could you share pictures?

Mine now has the "toilet bowl" effect when hovering. That's from have too many sniper shots from Plasma TV interference causing the helicopter to fall out of the sky. Is there a fix or do I just have to live with the toilet bowl hover?

Hi guys,

I spend most my time in the plane sections of this forum and dropped in here to see if I could get some info on a replacement battery for my S107. 739 pages!! This thread is epic! Can someone save me some time and guide me in the right direction? Looking for a larger capacity if possible.

Thanks!

I did some google searches and found some posts on the toilet bowl effect. Lubin the flybar and tightening up the upper blades helped but I still have the TBE but to a lesser degree.

TheTick flies S107s... I'll be darned!
I can appreciate your want for a larger battery. Doing so requires some weight mods and (probably, depending on your mods) belly mounting the battery.
The S107 speed mods thread might have more info. I haven't been in there-

After which, you will still have to limit flights to 5 minutes before a cool down for the itty bitty motors.
I got 240 mAh batts from this guy on fleabay-
http://www.ebay.com/itm/280725477047...84.m1438.l2649
Fly for 5 minutes, rest for 10 and fly for the last 5 minutes.
If you don't strip weight and limit flight times, you're going to damage your copter with a bigger battery.

So, Prof100, you have looked closely at the head (per Heli Pad's blog) and didn't notice anything out o whack? Something else to check are the connect buckles/ flybar links to make sure they are LOOSE. I mean, really sloppy. Sometimes they can get pushed on too far and they cause binding. Can you unfurl the top blades to balance and bump the flybar and have the top assembly freely bounce?
