Just recently got a S107 heli and found this great thread.

Had it about 2 weeks and just one moring went to have a flight and the whole this is unstable.

To see what I mean, chek out this youtube vid I took, this is just using throttle and nothing else..
Syma S107 Stability issues (0 min 6 sec)

Any ideas?
I suspect the Gyro?
Hello,

It's strange behavior, but to me not a problem of Gyro, but an imbalance. Check the Flybar and connect buckles, and make sure the blades are not too tight.

Good luck!

Thanks.
Looks like it's TBE, but the flybar and linkages are all fine, nice and loose...

Mystery continues...
Hang on, Think I found it,. From a thread earlier on, someone mentioned to look at the linkage to make sure it wasn;t past the ball, one of mine were.
Just charging again, but everything is adding up to this. Fingers crossed

Bugger.
Charged took it for a flight and same problem. Removed blades, and shaft is straight. Really can't find anything wrong...

It is very strange. Killbucket can guide you, has more experience with the S107

I'm FAMOUS
Pop those flybar links off...turn them over, pop 'em back on. You may need to repeat this once or twice.
Doing this will help remove any binding in their pivots.
You will NOT be able to detect a "bad" setup by feel alone.

This should run the ghosts out of it.

Thanks.
I've now done it about 10 times and still same issue.

Here's a new video of what it's doing. This was taken before removing the flybars and replacing them, the extra 10 times.
Which I had done 3-4 times before the video in trying to trouble shoot it.
So add another 10 or so times and the results unfortunately are the same...

Bugger of a thing, times like this makes me what to throw it in the bin !..
Thanks for all the suggestions so far..

You could always buy another one and keep this one for parts, but that kinda sucks.

The top blades have a plastic axle so they can tilt with the fly-bar. It may have broken. (That's what happened to mine, had the same symptoms as yours.) With both top blades straight out from the shaft the fly-bar should be at about a 45 degree angle to the blade holder. This angle should not change. Wasn't easy to see but I noticed that if I held the fly-bar still I could still rotate the upper blades slightly. The fly-bar links should remain straight up & down. The only thing that was holding the upper blades on the shaft were the fly-bar links.
When this first started happening to mine only half of the axle was broken so it didn't move much but it was enough for the blades to get together and bring it down.

looks like the flybar is upside down.
on mine its on the right of the blades.
and the screws of the weights on the underside.

Yeah after looking at the video again your flybar is way to stiff, it should lower to one side under its own weight. Yours looks tight.

Hello,

I think the problem is in the Connect Buckle. Must be locked, retire and put them back

Thanks All.
To me it looks all good, the flybar was upside down, have corrected it and seems to be freely moving.
Unfortunately still the same problem.
I hope these photos can shed some light....

Your problem is obvious in the video- the top blade should NOT rock as it does, from end to end! It should only pivot on the length of the blade, not rock/tip from end to end.

In a previous post it was accurately identified, the 2 pins on the shaft which hold the top blade holder in place are broken.

All that is holding your top blade on is the 2 turnbuckles, and some friction or luck.

Look closely at the BOTTOM of the TOP blade, there are 2 sockets in the blade holder into which should sit two pins on the shaft. This will be broken......

Seen this about 3 times. You probably will need a new inner shaft, which includes the plastic part, about $2 at Xheli.com
