Nothing too amazing. Just a project I did on the CNC in school for a lid design.

Added some more detail to the heli.

It was about 9000 rivets... and weathering on the panel lines...

Enjoy.

I love it!
Are the rivets actually modeled or part of the texture maps?

I'd say a 25% are real geometry and the rest are normal maps.

Nice drawing Erazz,
Do you have a separate thread for that engine?
There are not to many reverse-flow engines out there.
I'm no expert in turbo machinery, but I suspect that the small cross section of the cc will give you trouble with keeping the flame away from the walls?

Thanks!
I have a thread in GTBA's forums. It's a payed membership forum so I'm reluctant to post the actual progress outside of the GTBA. Besides it's very technical and probably wouldn't interest anyone except nutjobs who actually build these things .

Nice catch BTW. Yes, I'm concerned with the cc. It is too thin. I might need to make it thicker but this will have to wait until I can CFD it and get an idea just how bad it is.

Minibichus, that last rendering is really nice.
Here are some pix of a Fokker E.V project I did back in 1999 and 2000 for a kit. I made and sold about 30 of these. It was designed on Alias/Wavefront although I had to use Photoshop, Illustrator and Pagemaker for the "skins" and the build manual, which was totally with cad images. The model was available in five different trim schemes.
