To make it as the real thing you got to study the structure of the original close.
In this picture: http://www.noaanews.noaa.gov/stories...shall-mars.jpg you can see that there is a continous stringer from the nose into the main fuselage, running just below the windows, above the "marshall mars" text.

[QUOTE=Bart83;24094976]I have starte to draw a martin Marrs flying boat. I am a little stuck on some
difficult parts. I cant get the aft hull part right. I use the commands curve network and sweep 2 rails. Also the part under the windows is hard to make.

Annyone has any good idea's on how to make it as the real thing ?

Cheers,

Bart

I have always wanted to build this model since my first plastic model from Monogram.
I have worked on the drawing in the days of paper and pencil some 45 years ago.
I tried it in ACAD light 15 years ago but it was too complicated.
Now in Rhino 4, It is right and ready to take out the G-codes for hot-wire cutting.

Very cool aircraft - I think one was used in the movie "Always" with John Goodman and Richard Dreyfus as an air tanker for fighting fires.

I read a while back that Rhino had a plugin for hot wire cutting but never followed it up. Is that the case?

Would it be possible to see a screen shot of the plug in?

Curious about this process.

Cheers!

that plug in for Rhino was developed by my friend Jørgen Vendorf.
At the moment I am the only user of it.
I have a gm program but it is not good for anything except cutting wings.
later on you would be able to get a licence to the program.
You are right on that movie.
At the moment he is making boards for the steering of the stepper motors, for his own machine.

Beautiful Constantine!

Great way to make a wing tip also - I think you used 4 screens to figure out where to snap to. Something I never thought of - great stuff!

Cheers!
