Wanted

PAW for Sig Piper J3 Cub 1/4

Hi there,

I am looking for a PAW (not sure of the size) for a Sig Piper J3 Cub 1/4.

Thank you.

If you are talking about the 1/4 scale SIG Piper Cub, it has 105 inch wing span and weighs about 14 pounds or so. It is big.
SIG suggests that the minimum engine is a .60 two stroke, so since the biggest engine that PAW makes is a .60 that would be the one to get.
I would suggest a Davis Diesel Conversion head and run a more power full engine such as a 75 to 108 2cycle engine instead. The PAW 60 is a nice engine, but it might be a little on the weak side for something this large. Hard to tell for sure though. The PAW 60 can turn some pretty large props so it might work out just fine. I would probably go with a 91 or 108 size two cycle engine with a Davis Diesel development head to convert it to diesel.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that you can call http://carlsonengineimports.net/index.shtml
on the phone and see if he has a PAW 60 in stock. Call him on the phone as his website hasn't been updated for a long time.

Thank you earlwb, I am new to RC Diesel engines, so your advice is important. I will explore your idea.
