Aero, I do have all my videos backed up at work. I have a LAN connection there and can upload much faster than at home. I just need to find a more stable hosting site. I think I found one, hopefully will have the videos up and running next week. Regards,

Since Silent Flight seems to be down for an extended period, I uploaded the inverted TM video to another site - along with my other TM video and my P-51 video. Here they are:

Love those videos ! I haven't yet enjoyed my Moth on a calm day. I am attempting newbie flight in some windy conditions and have some videos to show some success but also what not to do :-)

I'm looking for a place to upload some fair size videos. I'm very impressed with your videos and can only aspire to that level of quality - but given time, I will both be able to fly and provide quality videos. Does RCPics allow 40ish meg uploads ? Any other locations that anyone can recommend ?

Also I assume WMV is the preferred format - I'll analyze your videos to get the other variables.

Vinnie, I honestly don't know what the limits are at RC pics. It's actually a site that looks dedicated to RC cars, but I noticed a few flight videos there that were located in the "other" category.

How long are your videos that they are so large? Seems there should be a way to make them significantly smaller. I'm no expert, but am told the .wmv format has the best quality for smaller file size. Good luck with your flying. Regards,

If you keep the videos (or pics) below 2MB you can post them on the R/C Groups Gallery.

My camera is an Olympus digital still that does 15 second movies that come out in the Quicktime .mov format at about 2.5MB each. I use ULead video studio to convert to .mpg or .avi and it only drops down to about 2.3MB. Then use Windows Movie Maker to convert to .wmv. It won't convert directly from .mov's. That drops the size to about 500KB. It does lose a bit of quality in the process though.

Here's my TM video as an example.
