So I just saw that Eflite announced the Blade SR today and last night I ordered a Honey Bee FP V@, don't get me wrong I still like the Honey Bee, but being that I already have an MSR that is what I would have gotten....killin me

you saved some cash betting the FP but I agree, the Blade SR looks like a awsome trainer, like a Axe CP but with eflite electronics and support

The mSR was brilliant: it filled a very popular niche that had very little options, but added flexibility in configuration that solved stability issues common in helis of its size. Unlike the mSR, I really don't understand the point of the SR... Esky has the same product in the CP3, and Walkera in the 1#A and neither are among more popular models. You pay nearly twice the cost of the CP3 in exchange for local parts support. Both Walkera and Esky have RTF belt tails cheaper than EFlite's motor-tailed SR.

Regardless, nothing has changed about CP cost and setup complexity; if you can't hover a single rotor heli with 90* flybar, then FP is the way to go.

Just saw the news on their website. I was just given a Blade MSR for Christmas. I would say I pretty much have it mastered. What is the benefit of this SR, and should I sell my MSR to get this? Thanks

I figured out that it is much bigger.... I thought this was like a "MCP" Now that would be cool! Same size as MSR, but 3d capable...

Sweet, I was hoping they'd come out with a CP version of the MSR, this looks a bit bigger with rotor diameter of ~21" (55.0cm). Heading hold gyro, brushless tail and main motor.....oh, I can't wait!!

Fly Runaway Fans
Oh yeah, I want to fly 3D in my kitchen (MSR-CP).

For the brushless, CP, HH, plus Horizon support, I'd buy Blade SR if it was BNF. Their rep says they are not planning that. They don't think "that demographic" is capable of programming soft centerstick.

Gimme a break. If you own a DX-series transmitter, you can bloodywell program anything you want. It doesn't take a rocket scientist. And at this point, I'm loathe to clutter my diningroom table with ANOTHER RTF transmitter.
