Screws+carbon wing joiner tube. Look through the pictures in this thread. Should be pretty obvious how it works.

Tyler, the wings can be removed by a pretty ingenius method. Basically, you have 2 incredibly strong carbon strips that have a threaded tube in the end, which can extend through the foam. Then you have a plastic washer on the bottom of the wing, and a nylon bolt slides on through and screws into the threaded tubes. There's 3 positions on them, so you can slide the wing forward, or back to either shift the CG, or adjust how wild you want to get

danielph's foamies were all painted by him. All of the DW Foamies come was bare white foam, and you can buy vynil graphic kits for them or colored packing tape from DW Foamies, or paint/sharpie them yourself

Yes, as Xpress said, I painted those. I've painted about 18-20 of them and paint them for other guys as well. If you're interested in having one painted, PM me. They're great planes and it's always nice to have them personalized.

If I ever get one I would really enjoy having you do an awesome paint scheme like that! If (99% sure it'll be when, not if) I get one, it will be in the spring. How much do you charge? Thanks! -Tyler

I can't wait until Spring! I think my 5mm 36' yak is great... cant wait to fly one that is a foot longer! So for those of you that have owned each... What flies best? And What is the one I shouldn't get. I just want one for 3D. So I guess what I should ask is: What plane in the 48' series does the best, most crisp 3D maneuvers? -Tyler

Oh yeah... the holes that come on the end of the ailerons, elevator, and rudder come predone? Or do you have to do those yourself? -Tyler

They are precut. Anyone know what "benefit" this is (other than weight)? I was wondering if they help make some turbulent flow at the end of the control surface that was known to help at stall speeds or something or was it just pure weight.

They are for drag. They slow the plane down a bit.

FlyBoy, I personally like the 48" 300. I have the 330 and it is a good plane to but the 300 snaps a lot better. All of them are good though.

I like the 48" 330. The Juka would also be a good candidate

I now have a 38" yak, a 48" yak and a 48" Juka in a box.
I find the 38" to be a real blast yet won't take nearly the wind. The 48" has a very nice feel to it, a slower flying ship that really lets me do pattern and 3D.

I don't have that much time on both, but so far I like them very much, in fact so much I bought the Juka over the Charger.

got a 3014-18 Scorpion and a CC Phoenix 45 for the Juka. Going to build that this weekend and do a few things differently than on the YAK.

Not that I was dissapointed but you know how the second and third builds go on the same model You just know how to make things a little better.
