Yeah it sucks. Not sure yet. Real tight on money right now. I need bearings and shaft from the final fall out of tree then for plane I'm thinking the extra 330 next when I can afford.

Mike doesn't sell the power system for the 22" juka anymore or I would have bought it. You know if the AS3X set up is lighter than orther set ups?

trying to build my fund for a new dw airframe. I have the guts (electronics minus motor) from my e-flite umx 300 for sale. CHEAP. make offer if interested. The ar6400l and the servos on it (ele, rud) work great but the aileron servos were done for.

What a great plane. Every time I go flying I always bring my 40" Extra. I'm slowly trying more and more moves and learning how to become a 3D pilot. I watch you guys and my friend Jim gives me terrific field advice. These DW's just make it so easy to grow. My most difficult thing to master so far are knife edges. I'm trying to get over the thinking, doing hump. I'm an inverted monster though.
A great help in performing nice flat spins and hovering is learning to get that CG sweet spot. Loving it all!

Went to my LHS and they had a used beast for cheap, so I bought it to use the AS3X parts on the 22" juka. The only problem I'm having now is the beast looks brand new and I would hate to tear it apart. So I'll probably just keep it, fly it, and buy the techone micro setup for the juka....

Why not just fly the Beast, and just put off the Juka until you're done with the Beast?

I've thought about that. The problem is I have idle hands and want to build something, that's why I got the 22" juka and I could be flying the beast for a while before I'm done with it.

I wish I had you guys' desire to build. I'd be happier if I could get someone to build for me so I could just worry about flying.

This is a mostly un-edited flight with my DW 38" Yak-54 at our house in Tiberias, Israel, overlooking the Sea of Galilee. We went over there this spring and had a wonderful time!

Amazing flying! Can't believe my humble 38" Yak-54 could do something like that!

What kind of bracing are you running?

Thinking about using this set up on the 22" juka. hexTronik 5gram Brushless Outrunner 2000kv, TURNIGY Plush 6A /.8bec/6g Speed Controller, and 3 HobbyKing 2.5g / .17kg / .12sec Micro Servo. Anyone have any objections/recommendations to this set up?

Thanks guys!

Bryan, I brace all my foamies now, but that one doesn't have any bracing in the tail. Still flies well though.

Blu, glad you enjoyed the video! It is indeed a wonderful place over there and our family always looks forward to going! I'm using a Sony HDR XR-550 camera.
