Alzheimers can't have got me completely... I have to say that I tested a lot of Torque motors 3-4 years ago, but I haven't had one in my hands since, and I had no pictures to go by... the key feature is that black ribbed bell covering which surprised me when I first saw it.. and that image has stuck with me since.

By that inscription it seems it is the same factory which makes the Torque motors! They are the only ones I've seen inscribed that way.

Hi

I was thinking that Hacker, Hyperion (old Z, not the new ZS), Torque are made by the same chinese factory. So may be we could add Lipotech and Sonic Electric ?
Not sure ...
Another possibility is that this factory has different quality levels, different prices for different vendors.

while its always a possibility to have different quality levels on the same motor regardless (depends on the skill of the factory worker) I would be more inclined to say that the motors are produced to the color and engraving the client requires and the line is produced in varying colors for the OEM market. If they have to tool for an order, they might as well crank out more. More likely, the factory produces this line as a standard offering and clients can customize the color and engraving to their needs.

Price wise, If I imported a 1000 motors at price X, no one can tell me that I can't sell them at price XX+.

I think so. Certainly Hacker inrunners used to be made in Europe, and have a reputation for quality that I suspect would not be helped by cheap rusty bearings and soft shafts.

If volume is high, any manufacture will assemble what you want from any grade whatsoever that you ask.

Just received my Sonic Electric motor.
Gave it a quick no load test.

Specs are right on compared the the listing on their web site.

Weight is 59g. web site lists 57g. Close enough.

Funny thing is. The box and foam material are exactly like what the older Hyperion motors came in. Wonder if the previous rev of the Hyperions comes from the same factory.

It's a pity their 32T 2809-910 doesn't match anything in the Torque line-up. I would have bought a 30T version if they'd made one, just for comparison with the Torque 30T (980Kv).

I'll be interested in what you get from the 2813 (1020Kv) since that does match the Torque 20T.
