FPV is what you do for a living! Your rig as a hundred foot wingspan, and twin jet turbines. And you get paid!

Good footage as well.
Interesting article, thanks!
This was my favorite part: "..."If things go crazy, it will fly in your face," Mr. Billings says of the devices. One of the trickiest steps is calibrating a drone to fly outdoors based on the wind and other variables, he adds. "
Reminds me of house rule#17: never make your first test hover with a new T-Rex 600 in the kitchen.

if anybody is interested, I ordered one of the little SpyHawk ready-to-fly fpv planes yesterday. I'm going into this fully understanding its limitations, but it should be a fun little plane to play with on days that I dont want to setup the groundstation

That looks cool, but that's the dumbest place to mount a camera I've ever seen!

agreed, the camera location leaves much to be desired. However, the company has already responded rather quickly with version 2 fixing cooling issues by placing a vent in the canopy and upgrading the servos that were prone to failure. Version 3 allows the gyroscopic stability system to be turned on and off. So Husban is listening to their users and making upgrades. Im hoping they will put the camera above the nose soon.
