DFC~ We Do Flyin' Right

So could we all just agree to do away with all FPV political/regulatory/FAA talk from here on, and use this thread for enjoying and learning FPV?

Anyway, I have been taking my time on the Queen Bee, hit a number of snags on the way, and I have not come so far just to rush it into the air. As soon as the osd comes in, it will be far easier for me to range test as it will have a signal strength indicator with a live readout.

Is that how most you FPV'ers range check? What is the proper process with the 9c and a DL system?

I also have been told I need to calibrate the DL, is that a difficult process?

nice work. the ability to hang motionless and move around slowly in 3d space with a hexa or quad is something Ive always wanted to do full fpv under the hood.

It's just a quadcopter with a KK board and a 900mhz vtx with cp antennas.

Can someone tell me if you have to have a ham license to use the 900 MHZ band for video? Im asking for my son Josh who is going to SEFF and knows ya got to be legal. His controls are via DX7 , 2.4

Thanks in advance.

If He cant fly the plane FPV ,I'm advising him to yank the stuff out and add night lights.

Yes, you are supposed to have a ham to transmit 900mhz.
