Feather I assume you are using the 3M exterior double sided tape. The grey stuff with the red backing. This is in quite a different league to the ordinary white double sided foam tape. I reckon you would have a hard job separating two supplies stuck together with the exterior stuff.

I'm sure the exterior stuff would be stronger but I want to be able to take them apart without too much trouble. I still have to use a screwdriver and/or razor blade on the white interior stuff. In addition, I have a set I put together several years ago that live in the trunk of my car and they are fine. If I left them in the front yard for a few months it might be a different story.

Clear packing tape would also work well and you could still see the FeathermerchantRC label.
