Bay Area Fun Fly this Saturday

This is just a reminder that the Bay Area Microflyer group will be holding a fly-in this Saturday from 3 to 5pm. The location will be J.L.S. Middle School gym at 480 E. Meadow Rd. in Palo Alto, CA.

AMA required to fly, with $10 admission fee for pilots, $5 for spectators. Please e-mail at lsageser@hotmail.com if you are interested in attending.

If there is enough interest, this may become a monthly event with (hopefully) lower admission fees!

Thanks,

Loren

Loren,

I am putting a cross-reference to this in the Events section. I think I know which pinion to use for the Hornet.

I'm planning on being there and bringing a few friends.

I'm planning on bringing my Hornet and Voyager.

Does anyone have a frequency board they can bring?

I had a lot of fun today. Thanks Loren for setting it up!

It's amazing how well these small helis fly indoors. I hope we can book more time next time. The time went by way too fast.

My Hornet is back together after my little mishap. Took about 30 minutes + lots of thin CA. I don't think I'll try going for a swish next time...

Jim,
Sorry to hear that mishap. Were you trying to slam dunk?

The blades on the Voyager is quite awesome. Those MS blades do make themselves noticeable with those zipping sounds.

Loren,
Thanks for setting this fun fly event. Next time, I'll bring some products and may be we can have a raffle at the end (if sales is good).

I think we should arrange our frequency ahead of time so that we will not run into the same problem. 42 is WAY too popular. Also, can we set it up on Friday or Sunday afternoon? Friday is well . . . my free day.

I'm glad everyone had fun. I had a blast just wandering looking at everyone's setups. And of course it's been so long since I've flown in a big indoor space so that was great too. I am going to move this to a monthly format so hopefully we can find a time that works for everyone. It has to be on the weekend for me but otherwise I am flexible.

I agree the time went by way too fast. I'll rent out the gym for 3 hours next time. I'm also going to make a frequency board...

Jim, I think that b-ball net deserves some payback from your Voyager!

Regards,

Loren
