Cralis - yesterday I ordered the 400mW combo from agepoch, will update the thread in a few weeks when it turns up, unless someone else does first. As for the confusion about supported frequencies on the Tx and the Rx, I think there is probably a typo or two in the descriptions of the 400mW version, not that the others are that much better. But if you look at the title of the 400, 800 and 1500:
Brand New 1.2GHz, 2 Channels Wireless AV Receiver and 400 mW Wirel - WSESPT400mw

Brand New 1.2GHz, 12Channels Wireless AV Receiver and 8CH 800mW - WSESPT800mw

Brand New 1.2GHz, 8 Channels Wireless AV Receiver and 1500mW Wir - WSESPT1.5w
I think there's just a missing "1" in the description of the 400mW combo Rx, and that the 1500mW description has had the "8 channels" incorrectly applied to the Rx instead of the tx. Until it turns up, or someone else posts, who knows! There's no shortage of other obvious minor errors in the descriptions on agepoch.

If the photo's are accurate, the 400, 800 and 1500mW combos all have identical appearing Rx. Most of the Rx spec list in the descriptions is the same as well. So I'm inclined to think the Rx is the same in each combo.

As for how many channels each Tx has, well, I think 8 is the most likely number, but again, who knows. But for the price I am more than happy to risk it. David and Wobby have both provided good evidence of it being good equipment, at least in the context of the RF environments where they are based (ie, Australia and Canada).

I'm using this combo (700mW) with success:

max range with the stock antenna at the receiver side (groundplane at tx) is about 2km.
with homemade biquad max distance (limited by rc) was about 4km.

max current consumption is approx 280mA and output power 710mW.
I'm using 14th channel where it gives a little less then 500mW.

here are some vids:

and picture of assembly:

yes, it is a little bulky but without case it's weight is only 10g and does not overheat even if on the ground.

this connector came with the rx's to power them

the wire with the white stripes IS the positive wire to make them work

that is how i soldered the deans on

but in reality is it not the "supposed to be" negative wire

I want to answer this again also, and this time try to be more clear.
I was a little vague on what combo you were asking about, and answered thinking you were asking about what i use and knew about.

The gear i use, and the 3 links i posted (400mw,800mw,1500mw)
RECEIVER, center pin is (-) Neg

The gear this thread should be about, link posted in first post by thread originator.
RECEIVER, center pin is (+) Pos , as Renato says, he owns that combo.

Sorry for the confusion wobby. My question was directed towards this combo:
So is the transmitter pin pos as well or is it neg?

no probs.
All Transmitters wireing harnesses that i know of, and i am sure, its the same for your one that i do not own, the CENTER pin is normally (+) pos

Same applies to your Receiver, your RX center pin is also (+) pos

These are the two wall power adapter provided with this combo.
I hope the picture will clarify things without doubt...

RENATOA I don't see any picture lol
NVM As soon as i posted it popped up

Looks like I can use this adapter to power both the transmitter and the receiver with my lipos.

Back in town after a family get together in Tennessee, flew every day and came home to 12" snow. Limited access to the net. I have emailed the manufacturer again and the std reply a few days for a answer.

My OSD from Flytron is at the PO. 14 days to mid US.

I'll catch up on the reading tomorrow I hope.

Not sure if the plug is 2.1mm... in my eyes it looks thicker, surely 3mm++
