Build Log

M.V. Pics, Plans, Build Log

Here are the pics, plans, and build log for the M.V. that I built. It uses a wood boom for the tail (but CF would be better), which has turned out to be very strong and resilient to hard landings. The fuselage is built using the “monobloc” technique made popular by the Blu-Baby. The monobloc is made with a piece of 1 ” thick pink foam, and the sides and tail feathers are fanfold. The airfoil is wire cut out of a block of foam made in 2, 24” halves. WS: 48” Chord: 5”. Dihedral: 4” on both sides.

Motor/Battery Combo I used:

Great Planes Rimfire 28-26-1300kv motor
910mAh 3s battery

AUW as tested is just over 13oz., however, im sure it can be made lighter.
**Note: I am using a heavy 8 ch. Rx. If using lighter equipment, the wing may need to be moved back on the fuse to achieve proper balance.
Also, these are the first plans I’ve ever made, so please bare with me.
