Okay, I finally had to go for a bowel movement and didn't pause it, when I came back it was over, did I miss something here?
Pretty girl that toothy main actor... just bad scripting or direction. (sigh)

Sure glad I waited to watch (ignore) it at home.

I guess my New Moon experience was about the same. My girls were not overly thrilled with either movie. They loved the books

Same with my daughter Sara, she loved the books but refused to see any but the first movie.

Thumbs down from me... not way down, but certainly not up.

TMI man! TMI!

We just watched The Road and it was the bleakest post-apocalypse movie we've ever seen. Wife-Unit read the book and said they left one tidbit out of the movie where The Man and Boy were in the fallout shelter, and find a stash of gold Krugerrands, and don't take them when they leave as the only thing of value left in the world was food and ammunition.

I watched the Blind Side last night. I thought the plot development was quite slow and overall the movie was pretty low key. There were no great heartstring pulling moments for me, although my wife was in tears more than once. Bullock was good, but not awesome. I wouldn't call it a chick flick, as there is usually a romantic element. It's a syrupy sweet drama with happy outcomes throughout. It's worth seeing, just don't expect to get wowed - just my opinion YMMV.

Oh, and there are very few football scenes.

I watched The Informant last night. Starts out a little slow and dry, but by the end I was really enjoying it. I'm glad I didn't know the whole story before watching the movie.

We took in How to train your Dragon in 3D tonight.
Thumbs up from me and the daughter.
So much fun and a little robbery from Avatar IMHO.
3D was great as we had center high seats.
Swatted a couple times involuntarily at flying debris.

Kid movie for sure, so loved the "Viking Dragon hunter girl."

I watched a real stinker of a fillum the other night, called Fast Food Nation. Mrs L had more sense and bailed after five minutes, but I watched it to the end.

Talk about a badly acted, unsatisfying melange. It was a bit like the main subject, the contents of some dodgy burgers, which the burger chain exec was trying to get to grips with. Bruce Willis had a bit part in it, but it was a eminently forgettable flick cobbling together some transparently one-dimensional themes.

Just watched New Moon last week. Wasn't real good, much like the books.

Twilight was on Showtime and just watched it again with the wife. That one was pretty good.

My wife got all 4 books. She said she couldn't put them down. Bought Twilight for my mother for Christmas, she couldn't put it down nor the next 2 books she bought. I gave them a go. Woman writer and you can definitely tell in the books it was written by the stereotypical woman. There was too much thought arguing between the wolves as if that's entertaining. None of the last 3 books were good at all. I still read them though hoping for something to become better.

Better to read the books I guess. I only saw the 2nd movie and like I said, meh

Wife and daughter said the same about the books. They were totally into them.

I didn't watch it willingly btw, it was one of my free movies on the flight to Hawaii and there was no internet on the flight!

See the 3D version if it's playing.
It's worth the little extra cost.
My girls love this movie.
