I think Trick-RC sells an up-grade kit for the basic zagi so you can covert to the zagix comes with battery, tray and afew other parts.

Peri is correct - Just talked to Trick about it. There is a larger tray/canopy to handle the 8x1700 packs and a carbon fiber rod which the 400 doesn't have. You also need to deepen the hole in the form for the tray about 1/4, I think is what they said.

Rather than spend the money ($55) for the upgrade I'm just going to buy the tray/canopy for $10 and then get a carbon arrow shaft from WalMart.

small electrics r BIG FUN
Like Bill says.......there really isn't any difference but the spar and canopy/tray. The 1700Au pack could be improved by purchasing 1700aup cells.

In the past, I converted my original Zagi 400 to a 400X using the different plastic tray, top, and carbon spar.

Today, there is an alternative. If you don't already have the 400X battery pack, you may want to consider simply switching to a 3s2p Lithium pack.

Good luck!
