f/A 18 hornet by hobbyking??

hello guys:

i just ordered a f18 hornet edf reciever ready version from hobby king.

very excited atm . because its my first edf ever. so i just wanted to learn about it more?? if any one has it or if any one can give me idea on how to fly it, maintain it and get the most of it. highly appreciated.

btw i have a flying experience with trainers , 3D and patternship planes before..

with my f18 i hav also ordered 2200mah 11.1V but it was designed for 1600mah, . how ever i read by one flyer that its 45 g heavier than 1600mah and with few mods 2200mah is the ideal battery for the plane and gives longer time and more momentum and solid response from elevator and ailerons.

motor is inrunner 4300kv, esc 30A. 5 servos 9g each.

so i just need your information on the plane and how should i go about flying??

thankssssssssss

I think it's an Art-Tech. I ordered one myself and it should be here in the next day or so.

Mine will get an Alfa fan w/ 5-blade fan and run on 3s 2100 30C batteries and a Hoffman Wild Mighty Mite.

Surprising it's cheaper to buy one from HC and rip the guts out and make your own power setup.

Here's a video of mine. I got this one from nitroplanes. They were on sale for $99 RTF on Black Friday.

I think the one that Hobby King/City sells is the same one that Nitroplanes sells.

Nice flying Airchime, Did you do any work on the inlets/outlets and cheater holes at all or pretty much fly it out of the box? Just curious. I'm yet to maiden mine.

By the way the small fins on the C and on were a carry over of a structural modification on the A's and B's added along with vertical stab reinforcing after the early A's and B's suffered structural failures/problems. We Ausies had a few probs with stress fractures in the vertical stabs.

Cheers.. Mark
