I would first look to Sailing Anarchy, as they tend to have the most recent posts for big boat championships - plus lots of sailors all over the globe to participate. Language can often become "pretty strong" - but they do tend to stay at the forefront of much of today's big boat sailing activities. They also have some very good (and still improving) video interviews.

Looks fun - but we don't do reaches in racing any more - just beats and runs for the tactically minded.

The guy from Sailing Anarchy i believe bought two of those DM2 hulls,he used to sail with the crowd from San Diego, when i was in Frisco i returned with two boats so had to chuck a rig box,Dick Carver took it down south for him as he needed one.

Is it just me or is there only 24 boats in this World Cup?

The Worlds start the 13th, this was a practice regatta to make sure all systems are working.

The Website has a full schedule.

I believe that is just a practice regatta. The real racing begins on the 13th and has about 49 participants.

One comment I have heard, from folks that have attended the Worlds, is that you do not get in much racing due to five heats per race.
This year, they may be able to sail with three heats. With six days of racing scheduled they may get in a bunch of racing.

Saw that too Mike. Thought it was rather odd that few of the international teams had been named. Word on the street is that a number of folks are not going due to the rather heated political climate with Syria. Even with a number of teams not represented, 50 boats are still registered.

Looks like a beautiful venue. If you go into Google Maps, you can get street views of the site.
