What sort of bulb cant are the guys running now. My Cready supplied fin and bulb is only 0.5 deg. Bantock is said to be running 2.3 deg.

I think anything over 2 deg will be slow in wind under five knots when the boat is not heeling and making leeway?

I dont thing it would make any difference in the light as it takes so little force to leen the boat over

different story in the breeze when stiff boat is a fast boat and everything adds up

I had a look at the plan of Frank Russell's "Goth" IOM. It has 2 degrees of up cant and is measured from the tail end of the bulb relative to the centreline of the bulb. Download the free "Goth" plan from Frank's site and it will all make sense!

Probably would be great in 2-3 knots of wind, but would crease easily and needs VERY careful handling.
