Also any makes of paint, including the undercoat?

Is that undercoat an epoxy or polyurethene?

Hi Simon,
Not sure what type but I do know you cannot mix the two, every time I get second hand bat that needs painting I get it test sprayed to find out if it bubbles, then I have to sand it back to fibreglass.
Things I do to get boats looking like new so I can people in to the sport.

Can't say that for the stuff we get here both are 2 part polyurathane i'm guessing ,i've used hardner from one and paint from the other for touch ups with no probs, however if ya don't know i'd make shure and use the same products, one tip is the paint requires 15% thinners for spraying so i've had my painter use 25% and light coats, the thinners is also product specific and it evapourates so less paint but use a coulor that will cover white is best.

With my boat nearing the painting stage I have spent the last two evenings looking and deliberating over the various options. I wont be employing a professional paint sprayer and unfortunately I don't know any either so a 2K spray job is out of the question. Although, with care it is possible to roller, brush on 2K paint. 2K car paint kits are available on e-bay from approx 30 inc P&P which seems quite a lot to me. However, International perfection marine 2 pack paint is over 40+P&P. As I dont intend to spend that much I'm probably going to use an oil based undercoat followed by a couple of coats of rattle can spray.
Today I made a bracket for my new winch and latest build updates are

You can get rattle can spray in epoxy i'd think that would be a tougher surface.

I have used rattle can "Appliance Epoxy" on a couple of boats, seems pretty hard and looks good. I wet sand with 1000 grit and polish after it is fully hard.

Brit Pop sighting in Southern California. Hansen Dam is now the home to two. I had a chance to check these out and these boats are pieces of art. These two were built in Brazil by (sp) Astbury.

Theres a product called Goo Gone or Goof Off.

Not sure if it is available in Australia, if not, google it and you may be able to identify the active ingrediants.

You may also try a citrus based cleaner.

Hope this helps.
